Ana Maria Ugarte, Mezzo- Soprano 
Ana Maria Ugarte is a mezzo soprano whose rich, deep tones are brilliantly combined with an innate dramatic ability which mirrors her dramatic voice.
As a soloist she has performed in many of the great oratorio and orchestral works including Vivaldi’s Gloria; Israel in Egypt and Messiah by G. F. Handel, Duruflé’s Requiem and El Amor Brujo by Manuel de Falla. An innovative and energetic concert recitalist, she has appeared in and out of the United States. In 2002, she had her international debut in La Antigua, Guatemala as guest artist at the Festival Mosaico. In 2003 she was invited by the first lady of El Salvador, Doña Lourdes de Flores to perform at both the Teatro El Presidente and the Teatro Luis Poma.
Ms. Ugarte’s dramatic talents have also taken her to various opera stages. Her roles have included La Principessa in Suor Angelica, (Puccini); Mama McCourt in The Ballad of Baby Doe, (Moore); the Sorceress in Dido and Aeneas, (Purcell); the Second Lady in The Magic Flute, (Mozart); Mrs. Ott in Susannah, (Floyd); and the Mother Abbess in The Sound of Music, (Rogers and Hammerstein).
Ana Maria Ugarte recently completed the prestigious Accademia Verdiana in Busseto, Italy. Ms. Ugarte had the honor of studying with the famed Maestro Carlo Bergonzi. She was a featured performer in the Final Concert of the Accademia Verdiana on March 31, 2007, which was seen on Italian National Television.
