Jane Foster , Soprano
American born Soprano , Jane Foster , made her international debut in the role of Gilda ( Rigoletto ) at the Silesian Theater in Opava , Czech Republic . Since her debut, Jane's voice and talent have matured to become the full Lyric Soprano for such roles as Tosca , Manon ( Manon Lescaut ), Desdemona ( Otello ), Marguerita ( Faust ), and Elsa ( Lohengrin ) which she performed in Concert in New York City . Jane made her Carnegie Hall debut in a program of French Romances & Melodies receiving accolades of praise for her artistry from the NY Times reviewers. Jane Foster has also published articles such as "To Sing a Song" for the Philadelphia Music Makers Magazine. Ms. Foster , with her recital accompanist Carla Mariani , performs and records the art songs by American composer Kathleen Lockhart Manning (1890-1951). Their first CD, To the Mart of Dreams/Songs of Kathleen Lockhart Manning (1890-1951) Vol. 1 . was received very favorably. The j ournal of the international alliance for women in music wrote, ".each (song) is a miniature gem.". Jane and Carla have recently released Vol. 2, part I: An Invitation to Cocktails featuring the song cycle Cocktails, composed by Mrs. Manning in Hollywood , 1929. OPERATIC ROLES PERFORMED
