Mezzo-Soprano Lunda Cornelius has a repetoire of over 30 leading roles in Opera as well as Musical Theater. As a versitile singing actress some of her most outstanding roles include: both Carmen in "Carmen" and Azucena in "Il Trovatore" under the direction of David Leighton with Woodstock Chamber
Orchestra performed at Bard College Theater in Annandale, NY, La Cieca "La Gioconda" with the Amici Opera in Media, PA, Baba "The Medium" with the Bethlehem Opera Theater at Zollner Arts Center in Bethlehem, PA.
In the more comic area Ms. Cornelius has created Miss Todd in "The old maid and the thief" with the Princeton Opera Festival under the direction of Richard Yang Tuk at the Princeton Academy Theater in Princeton, NJ and the Witch in "Hansel and Gretel" at the Scottish Rite Cathederal in Allentown, PA with the Pennsylvania Theater of Bethlehem under the direction of Ms. Madeline Ramsey.
Some of her most memorable Musical Theater characters are: Mrs. Potts "Beauty and the Beast" Scottish Rite Cathederal in Allentown, PA, Carlotta in the Youst version of "The Phantom of the Opera" with Bucks County Playhouse in New Hope, PA, Mother Abyss "Sound of the Music" with the Pocono Playhouse in Mountainhome, PA.
