Megan Jesse , Soprano
A native of northern Wisconsin , Meegan Jesse, soprano, traveled east to pursue her passion of performance. She graduated from Westminster Choir College in 2006 with a Master's degree in vocal performance and pedagogy, and from West Chester University in 2003 with a Bachelor's degree in vocal performance. Her recent performances include Zerlina in Wolfgang A. Mozart's Don Giovanni in March of 2009, Musetta in Giacomo Puccini's La Bohème in November of 2008, and Bersi in Umberto Giordano's Andrea Chenier in March of 2008; all three with the Center Stage Opera Company in Camp Hill, PA. She also performed Second Witch in Verdi's Macbeth in January of 2008, and Count Ivrea in Verdi's Un Giorno di Regno in December 2007; both roles with the Amici Opera Company in Philadelphia. In the summer of 2007, she performed the role of the Second Spirit in Mozart's Die Zauberflöte under the baton of Elaine Rinaldi of Orchestra Miami and under the direction of David Grabarkewitz of New York City Opera for the Intermezzo Young Artist program. She has also performed the roles of Billie Jo Casta in Peter Schikele's Oedipus Tex and Lucy in Menotti's The Telephone at West Chester . Jesse also enjoyed performing Brahms' Ein Deutches Requiem with the Westminster Choir College Symphonic Choir and the Dresden Philharmonic, and Berlioz' Damnation de Faust with the aforementioned choir and the New York Philharmonic. Jesse currently calls Philadelphia her home, enjoying the lifestyle and musical opportunities of the city. OPERATIC ROLES PERFORMED
