Pattricia Stella Patiño, international lyric coloratura soprano, earned her fame early on at the young age of 19 performing Salsa , Soft Rock, & Traditional Latin Music in the large concert venues, stadiums and coliseums of Bogota (the Capital of South America), Argentina, Chile, Spain, Venezuela, Ecuador, Mexico, & Puerto Rico. With the influence of her father , Guillermo Patiño-Valencia and his international operatic and concert career, Ms. Patiño revealed her great talent for the operatic stage singing superbly in the Coloratura Soprano repertoire. Pattricia Stella Patiño continues her diverse skills in both genres (also in the USA) performing her operatic repertoire internationally in such roles as Gilda in Verdi's Rigoletto , the title role in Floyd's Susannah , and the title role in Donizetti's Lucia with The Atlantic Coast Opera Festival. Last year she preformed Norina in Donizetti's Don Pasquale with the same opera company. This very versatile Artist continues performing her Traditional Latino Music and Soft Rock concerts in New York City, New Jersey (featured on the Jazz festival on Cape May with "Ellas y Amigos") and throughout North America.

Ms. Patiño represented the Philadelphia Orchestra in one of its concert cycles with the Maestro Cristopher Eshenbach and Maestro Luis Biava singing lyrical music from Latin American composers.

Early career operatic roles include Despina in Mozart´s Cosi fan tutte , Amore in Gluck´s Orfeo ed Euridice , Sonia in Lehar´s The Merry Widow , and Gianetta in Donizetti´s L´elisir d´amore . In 2002 the reviewers found her performing the Midinettes in Puccini´s Il tabarro with Opera North and Knabe in Mozart´s Die Zauberflöte at the Academy of Vocal Arts .

Ms. Patiño upcoming engagements for the 2007-2008 season include concerts at Salem NJ ; Gilda in Rigoletto and Papaguena in Magic Flute with Opera Seabrook; concerts and master classes in Bogotá and Cali , Colombia .

Pattricia Stella Patiño holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Vocal Performance and Music Education from the Universidad del Valle in her hometown of Cali , Colombia .

Ms. Patiño is a student of internationally renowned operatic baritone Robert McFarland.
